Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA), certified with ISO-9001:2008 is one of the premier textile research association in the country based at Ghaziabad, established jointly by the textile industry and Ministry of Textiles, Government of India in 1974 for conducting applied scientific research and providing support services to Indian Textile Industry.
National Technical Textiles Mission under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is one of India’s flagship programmes for the development of Technical Textiles in numerous strategic fields.
We are pleased to inform you that NITRA is organizing a conference on “Innovation in Protective Textiles” on 9th April 2026 at the NITRA Campus. This conference is being conducted with the support of the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The inauguration will be graced by Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister for Textiles, as the Chief Guest.
The conference is expected to witness participation from professionals across industry, defence forces, government organizations, innovators, researchers, and academia, making it a significant platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration in the field of protective and technical textiles.
Since the subject area Protective Textiles, is an emerging area in textile manufacturing, NISTI, as a close associate to NITRA, is inclined to support this initiative by helping mobilize industry professionals and by publicizing the event to reach a wider audience.
