To amplify their capabilities and reach new markets, local garment manufacturers have strategically partnered with the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI).
This alliance was solidified at a recent signing ceremony between the Readymade Textile Dealers Association (representing Indore's manufacturers) and CMAI, with 200 key industry figures in attendance.
Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor of CMAI, acknowledged Indore's prominence as a manufacturing hub, especially for children's wear, and its remarkable growth potential within the garment sector. He emphasized CMAI's dedication to empowering regional industries and ensuring they adapt to current trends and market demands. This partnership is designed to equip Indore's garment manufacturers with the tools for success, providing opportunities for improvement, skill development, and access to previously untapped markets.
Ashish Nigam, President of the Readymade Textile Dealers Association, hailed the collaboration as a transformative moment for Indore's garment sector. With over 2,200 member manufacturers, Nigam anticipates the partnership to significantly boost their exposure to national and international buyers through major industry platforms and events.
While Indore's export footprint is currently modest, industry experts predict a substantial rise fueled by advancements in quality and development of a skilled workforce. This alliance paves the way for Indore's garment manufacturers to carve a niche in the global market, signifying a new era of progress and opportunity.
