At the Bharat Tex 2025 platform, Salil Chawla, Director of DFU Publications, engaged in a conversation with Durgesh Aggarwal of Cairon International.
Aggarwal, representing Elite Ensemble and its brands Dash and Jerome, emphasized the company's current focus on enhancing factory compliance.
He noted that achieving compliance would enable entry into previously untapped markets, particularly the US and UK, by aligning with international standards and positioning competitively alongside other exporters.
Regarding government support, Aggarwal expressed confidence that adherence to regulatory compliances, including timely filings, would facilitate growth. He highlighted that authentic compliance not only signifies operational excellence but also assures global clients of the company's capability to deliver defect-free products.
When discussing Bangladesh's challenges in the garment manufacturing sector, Aggarwal observed that while large-scale factories might have gained some business, India still faces hurdles in matching Bangladesh's scale, primarily due to labor costs and factory infrastructures.
However, he believes this situation has sparked aspirations among Indian industries to scale up operations. Aggarwal anticipates an increase in the number of large-scale factories capable of handling substantial orders, signaling a positive trajectory for India's textile industry.
