Narendra Goenka, Chair, Bharat Tex Trade Federation address at Bharat Tex 2026 press briefing today:
As you all know, Bharat Tex 2026 marks the third edition of this flagship global textile event. Building on the tremendous success of its previous editions in 2024 and 2025, Bharat Tex continues to grow in both scale and impact, emerging as one of the world’s largest integrated textile exhibitions.
This year’s edition is significantly bigger in every respect. Around 2,000 exhibitors are participating, representing the entire textile value chain. Even before the exhibition officially opens, more than 60,000 trade visitors have already registered through the event website, reflecting the strong interest from industry stakeholders across India and overseas.
The international response has also been highly encouraging. As of now, 3,231 overseas delegates have registered, alongside 2,982 domestic participants. In addition, the event has attracted 254 high-level invited dignitaries, while 2,426 international buyers and sourcing consultants from across the globe are expected to participate, creating significant business opportunities for exhibitors.
The event has also drawn strong institutional participation, with 432 government officials and 443 representatives from Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and industry associations registered to attend.
Knowledge sharing remains one of the defining features of Bharat Tex 2026. This edition will host 102 knowledge sessions, including expert-led conferences and masterclasses, featuring an impressive lineup of 351 national and international speakers who will deliberate on key trends, innovations, sustainability, trade, technology, and the future of the global textile and apparel industry.
Business networking continues to be a major focus, with 6,087 pre-scheduled B2B meetings already confirmed, providing a structured platform for buyers and sellers to connect and explore new business partnerships.
The event’s digital engagement has also been remarkable, with the official Bharat Tex mobile application recording over 24,000 downloads, underlining the growing enthusiasm and participation from the global textile community.
With these encouraging figures, Bharat Tex 2026 is set to be its largest and most impactful edition yet, reaffirming India’s position as a leading global destination for textiles, apparel, innovation, and international trade.
